about: in the brief, diesel wanted us to create a new concept that would get more attention towards their online music community Diesel U Music. based on that concept we also created a graphic profile and a new website. i was in charge of the concept development together with the art director.
to separate Diesel U Music from other online communities we didn't want to overcome them by inventing the most features, but by making the best one. the one that separates Diesel U Music from its competition, and gives the user a fresh experience by updating and reclaiming the music player. Diesel U Music is not a competitor to existing music communities, but a complement. the music player should be highly intelligent, and we suggested it to be based on a search engine which combines the best features of what Spotify, last.fm and iTunes (genious) has today. this specifically means a player that gathers information from the user (what he/her listens to, and what others with similar taste listens to) and an engine that analyzes the music (bpm, instruments and so on) to find relevant music just for the user.

my role: concept developer and designer

about: we got a fictional brief from the real swedish company noko jeans.
noko jeans is produced in north korea, one of the worlds most mysterious countries. we were assigned to create a concept for a graphic profile including logotype, colors, typeface, perfume bottles and so on. since noko jeans doesn't want to take any political standings when creating the jeans we didn't want to either. instead we wanted to capture the people of the country in the concept. everything in north korea is controlled and strict except the people's thoughts and dreams. our design concept was built on dreams vs the strictly controlled and studious. the website we created is divided into chapters, with the purpose of telling the story behind the jeans.

school project: create the most honest piece of design, hyper island
about: during our design specialization we were assigned to create our most honest piece of design. my piece is an interpretation of how i feel when i'm designing. i'm sitting in my own little bubble, just letting the content of my computer sweep me away.

about: this is a print ad i did together with fellow classmate madeleine petersson. it's our contribution to the Young Lions 2009 competition. the brief came from the company "Vision for all". their business concept is to collect old glasses from private individuals in sweden, and then give away to people around the world that can't afford to buy their own pair. we worked on the supposition that people take the fact of seeing for granted and made a headline a question of interpretation to verify our assumption. when people read it, the first thing that comes to mind is rarely the strenghts of their glasses. we wanted to plant a thought in peoples minds about "Vision for all".

translation of the text:
what are your strengths?
for us in Sweden, it is naturally to be able to see. but there are people around the world who can not afford an eye exam. you can help someone keep their job or to learn to read by giving away a pair of spectacles you no longer use. give a gift and transfer your strenght!
